In this deep dark red cuvée, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are combined in perfect balance: the bouquet is characterized by red and black berries as well as ripe cherries, spice and vanilla notes and dried Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the 'Vecciano Collezione Privata' is powerful and round with juicy dark fruit, spice, herb and tobacco notes, straightforward tannins and fine acidity right up to the full-bodied finish.

Vinifikation

The Barbanera winery was founded in 1938 in one of the most beautiful parts of southern Tuscany: on the slopes of Monte Cetona, around 60 kilometers southeast of Siena. Even today, the family-run winery is based in the small village of Piazze, where Altero Barbanera and his wife Maria once founded it. Since 2008, Simona Barbanera has been managing the business in the fourth generation.
